Hank/Staal Party in AC; Red Wings Out of Doan Derby; & MSG Transformation Update

Written by Kevin DeLury on .

In Page Six of the New York Post, they report that Henrik Lundqvist and Marc Staal were at club Dusk at Caesars Atlantic City Tuesday night with Philadelphia Flyers Claude Giroux and Luke Schenn, and several other NHL players in town for the Bauer Pro Camp.

The group ordered bottles of Grey Goose and Jack Daniel's and were approached by a gaggle of women eager to meet them, but the hockey pros batted them away.

...seriously, where did my life go wrong? Playing in the NHL. Partying in AC. Attractive women falling all over each other to talk with you. Man, I missed out.

Meanwhile, it looks like one team is out of the Shane Doan sweepstakes...

...if the price is too high for the Red Wings, you have to assume he's asking for a lot. So I'm hoping, despite thinking he's a good fit, the Rangers pass as well.

Finally, here's the latest video time lapse of the MSG renovations...

...love this video. Really cool stuff.

Why didn't Hank poison the Flyers players and make his escape back to mother Sweden via his underwater car?

Just for the record, nobody said the AC women were attractive, it just said they were a "gaggle".  Though I'm not surprid they wanted to meet The Most Interesting Goalie in the World...I don't drink whiskey often, but when I do I drink JD, yeehaw!!"

Doan at anything above $4.75 is probably not worth it, unless it's a 2-year deal.  Wonder if Philly will get in on it now that they got burned on the Weber deal.  BTW, can't wait to see the Preds go after Philly in 2014 when Giroux, Schenn, and Couturier are all RFAs.  Of course by then they will probably trade all 3 to sign Al Montoya to a 10-year $150M contract.

Hopefully Doan was asking for more from teams who aren't as appealing. Just hope Slats stays the course and doesn't give him more than two years.

@Ranger Dave That's a good point. Although, why wouldn't he want to go to Detroit? Always a contender.

Big day for Doan as today was deadline for him to know what potential Coyotes owner Jamison is doing. If not happy, he's going to make list of teams he's interested in.

These guys are millionaires and they're drinking Jack Daniels?

Wish I was out partying. I (for some reason) think Doan would've been a better pickup than Nash. I just have a feeling Nash isn't going to live up to expectations. Hope he proves me wrong. LGR!!

@irishhockeychic Those days are over for the Rangers my friend. This is a stud player in the prime of his career. Just sit back and enjoy.

@KevinDeLury @irishhockeychic no doubt. This isn't lindros, fleury or bure. Nash is the real deal, and now that he is gonna be in tortarella camp he will be in great shape. He is also gonna be highly motivated to prove himself and he will.
