Rangers Would Listen to Trade Offers for Gaborik

Written by Kevin DeLury on .

gaborikLarry Brooks at the New York Post says that while the Rangers aren't soliciting offers for Marian Gaborik, he feels they would listen if a team not on his limited no-trade list comes calling between now and the Feb. 28 deadline...

"But the fact No. 10 is not untouchable halfway through his second year in blue is all you need to know about the depths of his disappointing season, during which he has scored in only seven of his 30 games and has scored in consecutive games only once."

Brooks adds that the Rangers would have to be overwhelmed by an offer for Sather to even consider it.

...i've seen numerous rumors flying around about a Gaborik for Iginla trade, but I don't believe any of it. Sure Gaborik is having a disappointing season, but does anyone remember last year? I have a feeling he'll break out soon and when he does watch out NHL.

...while Brooks has been pretty good of late on gossip I think this is him just thinking out loud.
