Torts: "Gilroy has played his way into top 6 (defensemen)...we feel this 6 gives us best chance of winning"

Update, 4:55 p.m.:
Torts adds that Del Zotto needs to "improve mindset as well as his play on the ice."

Update, 4:49 p.m.:
Torts says Gilroy will be in on Wednesday vs. the Hurricanes and there is no guarantee that McDonagh will play at all.

No time table on Del Zotto being in CT. Del Zotto apparently not thrilled with the move.

Update, 3:59 p.m.:
Arthur Staple at Newsday says that if Matt Gilroy continues to play well Del Zotto may not be back for awhile.

Staple also adds that McDonagh has a goal and seven assists in 38 games with the Whale; he's a plus-1, compared to Pavel Valentenko's plus-11.
