McDonagh Fine; Fedotenko Feeling Better

Written by Kevin DeLury on .

mcdonagh4Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record reports that Ryan McDonagh, who received the Broadway Hat last night, was fine post game despite suffering a "tweak" to his knee that required him to be assisted to the locker room after scoring the Rangers second goal on a gorgeous toe drag (see video here).

McDonagh says it's something he experiences regularly, maybe once a season, so he knew not to be concerned...

"I've had the same thing in the past, it's just a little tweak."

...not so sure suffering a tweak that causes you to crumple to the ground yearly is something to ignore. Might want to get that check out. But that's just me.

Here's video of McDonagh post game...

Meanwhile, Steve Zipay at Newsday reports that Ruslan Fedotenko is feeling better and should be on the flight to Boston tomorrow...

"I saw him when he came in and said he was feeling better," coach John Tortorella said. "I would think he can come on the trip."

...so much for Wolski getting in the line-up.

Zipay still expects Stu Bickel to be back in the line-up against the Bruins.

Larry Brooks at the New York Post has more on Fedotenko's status here.

So... they expect Feds to be on the trip, but not to play? Or do they expect Bickel to replace a D-man... I know it's different sources, but if Feds is on the trip he likely would play, no? He hasn't been out long enough to lose conditioning, surely...

Never wish a concussion on anyone, but I think we're a better team without Fedetenko. Just sayin'

Not sure about McDonagh, but I sure as hell crumpled to the ground in agony when I saw him being helped off the ice! Thank God he came back so quickly. You could make a pretty good case for he and Girardi for MVPs (as well as Norris), along with Hank, of course.

@gravey94 yes, my heart may have stopped for a moment when I saw them helping him off the ice, from the high of being pumped after that sick goal to panic in an instant. Thank god he is okay, dude is a stud!

isn't wolski on a conditioning stint? doesn't that make him ineligible to be called up?
