Original Post:
J.T. Miller scored to help lead Team USA to a 8-0 thrashing of Germany in their first game of the World Junior Championships in Ufa, Russia.

Chris Peters at the United States of Hockey gave this evaluation of Miller's game today...

"Miller’s goal was nifty, but up until then, I don’t know if there was enough out of him. Like Gaudreau, he improved as the game went on and I think that goal kind of sparked him a bit. Miller has good speed and got involved physically as the game went on. He’ll remain a huge key to Team USA’s success."

...it seems as if Miller's been a little off since camp reconvened, but I'm hopefully that this goal will get him going. Encouraging to hear that his physical game picked up as the game progressed because that is a key to his success on the ice.

...as for the team, I thought it was huge for them to pound Germany to gain a ton of confidence going into tomorrow's game against the always dangerous Russians.

if you weren't looking out for miller, you would've barely noticed him on the ice... the goal was nice and he did do more of the little things as the game wore on... still want to see more output from the kid moving forward through the tournament

Miller had an awesome screen on a goal and a hellacious hit in addition to the goal.

Russia isn't the defending champion, Sweden won last year....Russia is on home ice though

@thelink44 Oh crap. For some reason I was thinking Russia's win against Canada was in the finals not the semi-finals. Thanks for the heads-up!
