...while being named alternate captain of the USA World Jr. team is nothing to sneeze at, when reports had Miller as a possible front runner for the captaincy there's got to be a little disappointment from the Rangers 2011 first rounder.
Meanwhile, in other news from Team USA camp, Brady Skjei (2012 - 1st) was officially cut.
With Skjei, it was a numbers game & its unfortunate because he was great in Lake Placid &, even since then, he's done so much to improve.

...not exactly the best day for the Rangers at Team USA camp. Hoping Skjei uses this as motivation to get better.

There is a Ranger defenseman who was also cut from his 1st attempt at making Team USA's Under-20 team and he turned out OK. Oh yea his name is Ryan MCDonagh
