Long Day, Little Detail, More Meetings Today
The NHL and NHLPA met for nine hours yesterday at the Westin Hotel in Manhattan and here's what we learned...

Michael Russo at Star Tribune reports that two hours before CBA negotiations ended at 1 a.m. it nearly blew up but the two sides worked through what was a tense-filled, yet productive day.
Here are some details of the NHL's initial proposal yesterday...

Gulitti adds that the NHLPA plans to meet internally in the morning before reconvening with league.
...best part of the negotiations is that very little was leaked to the media, which is a good thing. Not sure why they couldn't have gotten this serious about discussions two months ago, but whatever, I just want hockey back.
