Here We Go Again

Written by Kevin DeLury on .

The NHL and NHLPA will resume CBA talks again today in an undisclosed location not in New York.

The meeting will again involve federal mediators.

...i got way too excited last week that something was actually going to get done, so excuse me if I temper my enthusiasm.

...having said that, I am a fan of the meeting being in an undisclosed location. Instead of posturing for the media they actually might get something done.

In related news, Pierre LeBrun at ESPN reports that Rangers owner James Dolan is working behind the scenes to get things back on track.

Good to see JD getting involved. Although I'm sure the league as a whole doesn't see it this way, what HOCKEY needs is more owners involved in the negotiations that are losing money by hockey NOT being played. Idiots like the owner from Minnesota who wrote checks they couldn't cash and now need roll-backs to save their budget shouldn't be allowed in these meetings, although there the ones behind this in the first place.
