Visnovsky Would Rather Kill Himself Than Play for the Islanders

Written by Kevin DeLury on .

visnovskySean Leahy at Puck Daddy reports that while taking part in a race at the Automotodróm Slovakia Ring motor circuit, Islanders defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky crashed his Ferrari into a barrier head on, destroying the front of the car.

According to the Islanders, Visnovsky did not suffer any serious injuries.

Visnovsky is currently attempting to block a trade to the New York Islanders, claiming that the Anaheim Ducks essentially ignored his no-trade clause.

Larry Brooks at the New York Post reports that Visnovsky's NHL arbitratiion court date has been scheduled for Sept. 4th.

...Visnovsky must have heard that he has no chance of winning his arbitration hearing and decided he'd rather kill himself than play for the Islanders.

...man, it must be tough being an Islanders fan.

i dont think the author of this blog would wish death on anyone, ever. it was a joke about someone not wanting to play for the islanders, plain and simple.

I just think it's a pathetic pointless post and yet pointless and clueless hockey comment by you.. But keep up the good work on surfing the web for articles and tagging along your silly inputs

I think 99.9% of all NHL players feel the same way and don't want to play in Uniondale. Russia would be a better option.

Sounds like someone belongs to the ultra-sensitive crowd here that was never spanked and was given trophies for participation...

Jeff, I thought your issue was I wished death on Visnovsky (which I didn't). Now it's death can't be joked about all together. Pick an argument and stick with it. Also, you know that Visnovsky DIDN'T die. If he did then your argument would be valid.

@TheNYRBlog sad since the core of good players the on the islanders could be built into a good team if ownership could get away from Nassau

Well that was a close one! Only thing worse than that would be a collapse of the Mosulieum, & that's half good.
