Greenville Road Warriors, Rangers Renew ECHL Affiliation

Written by James Wrabel on .

According to the Greenville Road Warriors website, the ECHL team and the New York Rangers have come to terms on a renewal of their affiliation, marking the third straight year both organizations have been associated with one another.

“We are excited to continue our relationship with the Greenville Road Warriors,” said Rangers Assistant General Manager Jim Schoenfeld. “The Road Warriors have been among the elite teams in the ECHL the past two seasons.  It is a first-class organization and an excellent place for our prospects to develop and grow.”

Two notable NYR prospects played for Greenville last season. Jason Missiaen led the Road Warriors in wins with 22. And Jyri Niemi tallied 21 points (9G, 12A) in 52 games for the Road Warriors.

Missiaen is a prospect, Niemi is playing his way off the prospect radar.
