Fogarty Scores Winner at USA National Junior Evaluation Camp
Rangers prospect Steven Fogarty (2011 - 3rd) scored the game winner as Blue defeated White 4-3 during a scrimmage on the Day 2 of Team USA National Junior Evaluation Camp at Lake Placid.
J.T. Miller (2011 - 1st) tallied his second assist in two games for Team White.
Jess Rubenstein at The Prospect Park describes Miller's assist...
...being a first time participant at Evaluation Camp, it's got to be a big boost to Fogarty's chances of making the team scoring the game winner.
...i guess Fogarty's performance was buoyed by his interview with TheNYRBlog's Adam Herman. LOL.
...after playing so well on Day 1, was surprised to see Skjei as a healthy scratch. There are a lot of defensemen in camp so I'm assuming this was just his turn to sit.
Here's Miller discussing evaluation camp and what he learned playing for CT Whale at the end of last season...
Despite not playing yesterday, reader Darrin D. sends me this pick of Skjei from Day 1...

Jess Rubenstein at The Prospect Park describes Miller's assist...
"Miller set up Stefan Matteau for a first period goal by faking a shot to draw everyone in then fed Matteau for an easy one timer. Those folks who are thinking Miller will be a 3rd line player are sadly mistaken."
After playing in the opening day scrimmage Brady Skjei (2012 - 1st) was a scratch on Day 2....being a first time participant at Evaluation Camp, it's got to be a big boost to Fogarty's chances of making the team scoring the game winner.
