Dubinsky Won't Miss Living in Manhattan
Written by Kevin DeLury on .
Dubinsky indicated he won't miss living in Manhattan, said it was a bit ... too big for him. First impression of Columbus? "It's so quiet."

...and we won't miss your underachieving play.
...i'm actually suprised to hear him say that. He seemed like one of the players who embraced living in the city.
...if he didn't like it, why did he live there? Plenty of quieter spots in Westchester, Connecticut or on Long Island.

@TheNYRBlog Wonder if he would have met his dime piece while living in Columbus? #IThinkNot
Dubinsky Is a chump period. I know a few people living in the city that make less than him like 800k range and they absolutely love their lifestyle. He is gonna rot in Ohio.
I don't blame him. I wouldn't want to live in Manhattan. It's a fucking shithole. I would rather live in one of the other 4 boroughs (specifically Brooklyn where I live).. I'm sure he's not the only player that feels this way..
I didn't live in the city because it was too noisy so I lived in the burbs & commuted. He could have done same thing. He sounds like a whining baby. You got traded / that's the business end of sports.
@TheNYRBlog just embracing new fans. Nothing makes middle America happier than to hear a NY'er lie about liking their quaint little town.
well some people obviously are butt-hurt over his comments or else this would've never been brought up.
Glad to see he is still king of twitter. Overrated, over paid and seemed more concerned about tweets and face tie with camera then learning how not to fall down every six seconds.
I always liked Dubi and he will be missed. I love the City, but I would never want to live there, so I can see where he's coming from. Good luck in C-Bus, Dubi.

I'm sorry if you enjoyed living somewhere how could you not miss it. That doesn't make sense to me. I took it as a diss. Chris, you are correct, Dubi brought passion and hard work every night. Doesnt mean he didn't underachieve.
Dubi can say whatever the hell he wants. He gave more more to the Rangers than any of you all ever will. Let him be.
I'm gonna cut him some slack here. NY isn't for everyone, and I bet he's still trying to process that he was traded away and is no longer part of the Rangers.
c'mon Kevin - that's a little harsh. he showed up every night and played hard - he was no frolov. he's got to justify moving to the rust belt to himself somehow.
@TheNYRBlog I wouldn't take offense to that. He's from Alaska, maybe NYC was too much for him & all parties (NYR, CBJ, & Dubi) r better off.
Yeah lets not act like devils fans here. Dubi was home grown and a great guy. Im sure he just meant it as he didnt enjoy the crouds. I can immagine thats unbearable when your a famous new yorker. We all know he loved playing in new york
To say the city is too big isn't a negative comment either, or a "diss." Its merely his opinion.
what's wrong with saying he won't miss it? I loved living in NY but I don't have to miss it.
My opinion is Dubi is not entirely happy about leaving a team who's on the verge of doing something big. And now he keeps tweetting about the "wonders" of Columbus. It's like one of those teenagers who was left by the boyfriend and keep saying all over the internet "Now I'm really happy, now my life makes sense, etc" Bull**it
Guess he belongs to the Shea Weber "NY is too intimidating a place to live" school of thought.
I have lived in manhattan for the the past 6 years, and when I move out at some point in my life, I'm not going to miss it... I'm sure Dubi liked it while he was here, he is young and worked in manhattan, so why not live there...I think you are reading to much to much into this...
@Fleisch I hear you, most likely he's trying to get himself in good with his new fan base, but still, talk about how nice Columbus is, don't diss NYC.
@MrRangers94 Oh, that's totally what he's doing. Just don't like him dissing on NYC.
