CBA Negotiations This Week Will Be Critical For Season Starting On Time

Written by James Wrabel on .

With both the NHL and NHLPA meeting over the next couple of days for more CBA negotiations, Aaron Portzline of The Columbus-Dispatch brings his perspective from Twitter

  • Portzline is right on the money here with how important negotiations will be today and tomorrow considering the September 15 expiration of the current CBA is looming. Find some common ground and a lockout won't seem too likely. Come out today farther apart than last week, and the NHL fans will have to batten down and ride out a long, long storm.

This just in - CBA TALKS CANCELLED. Really? They can't even get in a room together. We're doomed.

I find it odd that these meetings are only taking place 2 days a week. Although there are 25 days left until Sept 15, at this rate they are only going to meet 8 times? I work 9-5, so should you until you get it right..... because after 5pm in the winter with no hockey, i'm going to go crazy.

@TheNYRBlog not sure this conspiracy theory has been floated. Other owners see #nyr set up for success...want to harpoon the season.

BETTMAN IS A CLOWN. I think his plan is to reduce interest in the NHL so his old masters, the NBA, can make MORE money...He still doesn't know hockey, and all he is is a shill for the Governors

@TheNYRBlog @TheWrage Maybe the Union could deal directly with the owners and send Bettman home early for diner.
