The New York Rangers defeated the Ottawa Senators by the score of 1-0 in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference Quarterfinals matchup to take a 2-1 lead in their best of seven series. For a recap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports.

...i'd like to see the Rangers start playing like the #1 seed in the East, but I'll take a win anyway I can get it in the playoffs. Amazing that all three games have been played completely different. Shocked the Senators didn't come out with the same intensity as Game 2.

...now that's the kind of performance I've been waiting for from Lundqvist. Put the team on his back tonight.

...Boyle officially dominating games now. Senators going to have to start game planning for him soon.

...as you would expect, Kreider was a bit timid to start the game as he seemed to shy away from the physical play, but as the game wore on he got more comfortable and much stronger on the puck. Kid is fast as hell.

...guess Hagelin does make the Richards/Gaborik combination work because they were MIA tonight.

...Bickel didn't get much ice time, but made crucial play with his arm save in the second period.

...Stepan, Del Zotto and Staal need to figure it out because they're offering nothing right now.

...Stralman has surprised me with a very strong playoffs up until this point. Plus he threw another hip check tonight.

...power play is lost.

...one area that may come back to bite Sather for not upgrading at the deadline is faceoffs. Not sure if any were available, but a specialist ala MacTavish would be nice to have right now.

...Girardi and McD were beasts.

...please shoot the puck Fedotenko!!!!

...if Kreider continues to improve the next two games, will be interesting to see what Torts does with the line-up when Hagelin comes back.

...off tomorrow then Game 4 Wednesday night.
