Kreider Caught Up in Rangers Game 1 Victory
Chris Kreider told Dave Lozo at NHL.com that Thursday night was the first time that he can remember being a healthy member of a team and not participating in the game. He also said he felt nervious throughout the Rangers' Game 1 victory..."I found myself jumping out of my seat too when we were scoring," Kreider said. "I feel emotionally invested."
...absolutely loving this kid right now and he hasn't even stepped foot on the ice in an NHL game yet.
...if the Rangers continue to the play the way they did Thursday night, even with players like Mitchell and Dubinsky struggling, I find it hard to believe Torts would mess with the chemistry just to get Kreider's feet wet. So if we see Kreider in a game it's likely because of something negative like the team needing a spark or an injury. So I'm almost rooting for us not to see him.
