Prust Will Play; Lineup vs. HC Sparta
Dan Rosen at NHL.com reports that Brandon Prust has confirmed that he will be playing in his first game since under-going off-season shoulder surgery today at 1pm vs. HC Sparta..."I'm going to go out and try to play my game, be physical," he added. "We have a short period of time here before the regular season so I have to make sure I know the body is ready and I get it ready."
Rosen says that today's lines should look like this...
Wolski-Richards-Gaborik
Dubinsky-Anisimov-Callahan
Fedotenko-Stepan-Zuccarello
Rupp-Christensen-Prust
Sean Avery (foot) and Brian Boyle (flu) will not play.
The defensemen who will play are Ryan McDonagh, Michael Del Zotto, Steve Eminger, Tim Erixon, Stu Bickel and Brendan Bell.
Marty Biron will play the entire game.
...i tell you what, with the defense sort of in flux a guy like Bickel is getting a real opportunity to show his stuff right now. Should be interesting to see if he seizes it today.
