A few games ago Sam-Joe were just talking about Lundqvist's strategy re skates. They said that in the past he'd go an entire year on one pair but this year decided to change to a new pair every month, which enabled him to go east-west quicker (the older skates would develop play/slack over time). So this is likely a case of Henrik playing in a new pair of skates which were too tight. This doesn't explain, btw, why his leaving the game was initially reported as his developing cramps.
