Oilers Interested in Del Zotto?
Jim Matheson at the Edmonton Journal feels the Edmonton Oilers, who are looking for an offensive defenseman, should go after Michael Del Zotto in a trade..."If the Oilers are looking for an offensive D-man with a surplus of forwards, they should be looking at New York's Michael del Zotto, although with Marc Staal out with a concussion the Rangers aren't of a mind to be dealing any blue-liners right now."
..ok, I'll take Taylor Hall for Del Zotto. Yeah, I don't think Edmonton would do that either.
...i think the Rangers are in it for the long haul with Del Zotto. He is showing signs of coming it out of it offensively, but he still needs a lot of work defensively. Unless the Oilers blow the Rangers away with an offer don't expect this to happen.

This is random but why don't we try and trade for James Neal he played with Richards in Dallas and did verry well and so far in pittsberg he has been a bust so maybe wolski and a prospect or something along thos lines what do ya think
@VincentZigarelli Not sure Wolski is enough to get a bag of pucks these days so Rangers might need more, but I like the idea.
@KevinDeLury haha true but he Neal has only scored 2 goals for the penguins since he's got there so I don't think it would take that much more
I wpuldnt trade Del Zotto for anyone but a top line foward. He has so much potential and is still very young. Within the next two years he will be running the Power play unit and putting up top 10 D-man numbers
@Brukie_ I'm with you 100%. Trading him now could come back to haunt the Rangers the way the Zubov trade did.
Sounds interesting, but I would think it be a little silly to deal a blueliner now with Staals status up in the air.
@chelleyschoe This looks like it's Matheson throwing this out there more than the Oilers really being interested in Del Zotto, but yes interesting indeed.
