Now McIlrath Might Have a Concussion?
Jess Rubenstein at The Prospect Park reports that Rangers 2010 #1 pick Dylan McIlrath is "day to day" due to an upper body injury.Rubenstein adds that McIlrath took an elbow to the head on Sunday in the Warrior's game against the Kootenay Ice and he missed practice on Monday.
In a tweet, Rubenstein adds that he has legit questions whether McIlrath suffered a concussion.
In other concussion news, Paul Doyle at Whale Tales says Ryan Bourque skated for the first time yesterday since suffering a concussion in the third game of the season. He's been feeling better, but he sat out for 12 days before skating Wednesday. There's no timetable on his return to the lineup.
Their has been no news on Mats Zuccarello who was expected to practice yesterday after suffering his own slight concussion Saturday night.
...first Staal, then Bourque & Zuccarello and now possibly McIlrath. This is not a good trend.
In positive prospect news (via The Prospect Park), Shane McColgan (2011 - 5th) extended his point streak to 10 games with his fourth goal of the season, J.T. Miller took over the Rangers prospect lead in goals after scoring his seventh last night, and Michael St. Croix extended his own point scoring streak to seven games with a primary assist.
