Messier to Run in NYC Marathon

Dan Rosen Mark Messier will also announce that he will run in the 2011 NYC Marathon to raise money for the Benefit Fund.

Mike Richter ran in the marathon back in 2007.
Messier will also be flipping switch at Empire St. Building to light building in colors representing NY Police and Fire Widow & Childrens Benefit Fund today.

Messier has also announced that he will cross-check anyone who tries to pass him during the Marathon.
Man the best hockey players have always been intelligent people, and quite often extremely giving and caring also. It's amazing to me how happy these guys like Mess and Graves make people off the ice, years after they retired. Real heroes.
