Number overkill. I like the old style look but numbers on front, back, and both arms (& helmets) is way too much. They should remove the numbers on the front.
I have to say, the rangers Jersey's are disappointing. We are an original 6 team. No to have the NYR crest on the front is a disgrace. A shoulder patch ? who approved these. In all the past classics, teams went back to their heritage...Think about it, the Pens, Blackhawks, Sabres were great Jersey's. The Rangers have never had Rangers going across the Chest. Rebook screwed us.
Man, I really don't like those one bit. The fake ones were way cooler. These remind me of atlanta's weird football-style jerseys.
I am of the minority that never liked the liberty NYR jerseys. The blue was wrong, the sleeve stripes were super-90's and so was the NYR font.
Personally, I'd like to see them wear the ones they wore in (I think) 91-92, messier's press conference.
Absolutely hideous. The original jersey with the arched lettering was blue, not the colour of baby puke.
But, because I am a sucker, I will end up buying one anyway, if only to be banished to the back of the closet with the 'fashion' frankenjersey and the atrocious liberty sweater.
I think the thing that draws me to them is that they are different than anything we've seen. They've previously worn a jersey with the shield, Lady Liberty doesn't necessarily fit the vibe of the "Winter Classic theme" that they strive for and it's not just a creme version of the current 85th anniversary jersey. It's a different take. Well done.
@mavanco I would love to have had cream heritage jerseys. And on a semi-related note, wish the Rangers would go back to wearing white at home. It was awesome when they did that against Philly last April. But I know that's NHL marketing and itmwon't happen.
@AndyS I agree 100% about white at home. It still doesn't look right after all these years.
I wouldn't have minded a creme version either, but this is outside the box and I appreciate that. It's just one game, why not be different?
I like it, but its really not a classic jersey is it? The Flyers are using a format of the Quakers jersey but still using their logo. The Rangers winter classic is NEW, and is fine but not really representing their classic jerseys.

The flyers jersey looks like a flyers jersey. The Rangers jersey looks like...IDK, a well adorned straight jacket?
old school shield on the front, lady liberty on the shoulder. that's what I would've done.
Not a big fan. I don't like the number on the front. Have to see what they look like on a human being before passing final judgement.
I kinda like it. I'm a sucker for most anything the rangers put there name on. Wondering where/when I can buy one.
I don't dislike them but if the shield on the shoulder was on the front i think it I would like them more.
@mellowfilmzNY I agree with the second part of your statement. The jersey would be better with the shield on the front. I really hate the numbers on the front though. Also, it should be noted that the mockups always look way worse than the real versions because the paneling is was more visible in the mockups
