Just a reminder that the winner will receive a Boogaard Rangers Heritage jersey. I will be accepting logos until May 30th.
A huge thank you to Glass Bangers T-shirts who will be producing the shirt.
For more information on the contest click here and here.
I like the one from J Hanson, The colors pop and it stands out better than the others.
6 (ron b) & 8 (josh H) are my favourites of the first 20 submissions. They look like logo's, are classy, respectful & simple.
Their circle shape reminds me of the Minnesota heritage logo.
6 could use a little more contrast though ;) and the text around the logo is redundant imo.
@ForEachNYR Thanks! I put in a lot of effort into the details of this logo. They are easier to see when it is blown up. Click here for the larger version: http://www.nyrangersblog.com/images/stories/Boogaard2.jpg
Thanks again everyone!
thanks Erin! These are all turning out great, what an awesome contest. Glad to see we have so many supporters.
I like Josh H's the best! I love the design and appreciate the thought and insight that went into it
@BigBrian1226 It's a logo contest, so most of them could work as patches also. You never know, the Rangers could really like one of them and maybe use it. They are aware of the contest and didn't rule out using one but said to go ahead without them as they didn't want to commit to how they were going to honor Boogaard yet.
I think the third one down from Josh H is my favorite so far - really classy and well-executed, and he beat me to the idea of using the Minnesota Wild starbursts as an accent - great minds think alike!
@erichan Thanks! I really wanted to make this based around the Rangers theme since it is a contest based around the Rangers, and he was with that team when he died, but I knew I had to have some throwbacks to the Wild as well. Also the 3 trees in the middle represent his 3 goals as well, although hard to see the middle one. If you open the picture up in a new window you can see more of the detail also. Thanks again!
@KevinDeLury Kev, have you tried getting a player involved? They might put pressure on the club to back this and even have a patch for the coming season!
