Steve Zipay at Blue Notes posts a press release sent from MSG stating Rangers season tickets are going up an average of 23%, not the 13% Rovell reports below.
...and the hits keep coming.
MSG: Increase on Knicks/Rangers season tickets w/o all you can eat plans is 28% and 13%, respectively
Rovell adds that there will be no PSLs.
....in a seperate tweet Rovell says the increase is due to the MSG renovations.
...and the pricing out of real Rangers fans continues.
This team is doing less and less for its fans... especially for the season subscribers. Last season there must have been at least 5 events held for season subs (not counting skating party)... this year only 3 (counting skating party that had to be rescheduled from a weekend to an evening). Last year as a "gift" for the Season Subscribers we got NYR Gym Bags. This year -- an 85th anniversary patch in a plastic case (that you cannot even hang or display as there is no mount for it)
Ticket prices rising.. team losing at "home".
Playoff tickets for a $56 regular seat have gone to $92 per.
Next years price for season tickets is just too much.
Concession prices are constantly going up and there is no quality or service.... what is my money going for? I cant believe that the price increase has anything to do with the "transformation"
Why? Because they have so many deals for advertising and naming that it should be covering the bill...

I wonder with all the corporate money plus the advertising on the boards and and ice what is going on... MSG has been expanding their empire without regard for those who are the true fans that enjoy the game(s).
We are in an economic slowdown, salaries are not going up but the prices are skyrocketing... I have to really have to consider if I am going to make another investment in this team.
All the Dolans care about are their corporate sponsors and clients. They don't give a crap about the real fans.
Sometimes I don't think I'll ever get to another game at MSG.
@erichan For cheap Rangers ticket prices definitely check out the ticket pricing program I have in the right side bar. Great deals.
