The draft is still 20 days away , but keep an eye on Rangers (No. 15), who just traded 2 2nd rounders for T. Erixon, possibly moving down.
...not sure why I'd take the word of a Devils beat writer, but with the Rangers being without a second or third round pick it may make sense to turn the 15th overall pick into two seconds or a second and a third. Unless of course a top players falls into their lap like last year with Fowl....oh wait nevermind.
Speaking of the draft, Gordie Clark, Rangers Director of Player Personnel, talks to NHL.com about what he looks for from a prospect during the combine which started yesterday.
Gulitti is using Sather's past as a reason to think this way. Sather does like to trade down to gain more picks but it typically happens with 2nd and 3rd rd picks.
It would be a very good idea if Sather could slide down the first and be able to regain at least a 2nd back.
Anywhere from 20-30 is where Sather would be able to find players that would address NYR needs like a center and a RW
@TheProspectpark Appreciate all your insight Jess. There's been a lot of prospect talk on the blog lately so it's great to have your input.
No Kevin the thanks go to you and your readers as they are proof positive that Ranger fans can, will, and do support the homegrown talent,
