There are currently openings in Ottawa, Florida, Minnesota, Winnipeg and Dallas.
Sullivan was the Boston Bruins head coach for two seasons (2003-06) compiling a 70-56-38 record.
...yikes! That doesn't say much for the reputation of Sullivan around the league.
c'mon guys, thats only one way to look at it. a lot of people around the league hiring may know already that he prefers to work with tortorella as a 1-2 coach. torts doesnt micro manage. how many times has he redirected questions about hank to benoit? they obviously have a great working dynamic.
also, look at it this way. sully has lived and coached in boston and nyc. maybe the assumptions form places such as Ottawa, Florida, Minnesota, Winnipeg and Dallas is that he would rather stay in the NE market. after all, he is from this area...
if youre going to jump to conclusions, trying jumping towards the positive as well as the negative.
quick side note: who the (heck) would want to live in those areas anyway?
thats kind of shocking to me. I always thought of him as a solid coach and thought he'd be gone for a head coaching gig within a few years.
@KingBadaBing As long as he coaches well for the Rangers I could care less if anyone else wants him.
"if you are going to jump to conclusions, try jumping towards the positive as well as the negative"
You mean like you putting down the places with openings in the very next sentence? Did I miss your positives by any chance?
What a great example of someone assuming we have here.
@IcyCup Ha! Even if those teams may have some of those questions don't you think they'd still want to interview him?
