Speaking of getting blasted how about this hit by the Canucks Aaron Rome on Nathan Horton...
...just a little bit late. The Bruins rallied around the fallen Horton and this hit could end up being the turning point of this series.
I think any type of suspension is absurd. It was not a late hit at all! Rome read the play before Horton even passed the puck. It was a great hit. You could see him pivot to step up before the puck even leaves Horton's stick. Horton had his head down. I learned when I was a peewee to never watch the puck after you pass it. So Rome is supposed to jump out of the way and let Horton and the other player go in 2 on 1??? One more note HE DID NOT LEAVE HIS FEET UNTIL AFTER CONTACT.
Rome was already stepping-up when Horton passed the puck, the hit looked inevitable at that point and Horton didn't see it coming; but Rome also hit him high and left his feet. Terrible.
@Fleisch14 Rome gets four games.
@AG_Blue Rome had plenty of time to pull up or he would have let up. No need to try and maim someone.
@KevinDeLury Have you ever skated?? Its not that easy to just pull up or let up once you are committed. Hockey is fast and extremely intense. These guys dont let up, its their job to play with that intensity, always in full gear.
@KevinDeLury , yeah, I think you're right, Kevin. I watched it a few times now. Obviously, it didn't have to happen.
