Boogaard Memorial Logo Finalists & Voting Begins
Written by Kevin DeLury on .
I'm sure they'll be plenty of debate on the ten I have chosen, but I ask that you to remember this is for a good cause. The decisions weren't as easy as you may think as there were many factors that went into making sure no one was disrespected or insulted as well as keeping within copyright rules.
I have posted a poll with all the logos in the right hand column which will be open from right now until 10:59 a.m. next Tuesday. The logo with the most votes will be put on a t-shirt (courtesy of Glass Bangers T-Shirts) and sold with all the profits going to Defending the Blue Line.
An unlimited amount of t-shirts will be available for purchase for a week after the sale is announced.
And without further ado your ten Boogaard memorial logo finalists...

#2 or #3 both are well done and they would be great for either a patch or for a helmet sticker! GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!!
Can't wait for it, love number two just wish it was incorporated for all the teams he blessed us with.
2 is awesome but 8 just shades it for me, well done to all those that contributed, now who can help me out with t-shirt shipping to the UK!? ;-)
@skev303 I'm sure the good folks over at Glass Bangers t-shirts ship to England so I'm sure you're good.
I think any of these logos would be great but I personally voted for 2. I can't wait to buy the teeshirt regardless.
2, 8 and 10 are my top ones... and for those complaining, grow up guys. Its Kevin's blog, and his decision anyways. If you don't like the selections, that's okay, but its no reason to get butthurt and call him out over it.
The selection. It looks as if half of these were drawn at random, versus being selected in a rational manner.
I really don't like the implication that by questioning some of the finalists that I'm question the cause. Also, use of the word "fantastic" is really pushing the envelope here too.
Let's just leave it with both agreeing to disagree on the selections.
@sharkwmu Sorry that you're not happy with the selections. I think they're all fantastic and are a great way to honor Boogaard.
Really? That's the top 10 you chose dude? I don't mean to sound like a hater, but 3-6 have absolutely no business on this page.
@CJ Obviously not everyone is going to be happy with my decisions. As stated above there were a lot of factors involved. Just remember the idea here is to honor a great man while raising money for charity.

There are some nice choices out there but in the end, I think you have to go with the second one. Although I do like the throwback feel of 8 (could be a distant 2nd place).
I voted for 2 but 4 was a close second. Both are really clean and are clear to the fact that he was a Wild (where he was most remembered) as well as a Ranger.
I voted for 2. It's perfect!
9 would probably be second for me. They are both finished & complete. Not over-detailed but stylish and respectful!
