I thought I'd be a little more depressed today. Am I really in my mid-30s?!?!?!?!? But you know what? Life is good. I have an amazing family, a job I love and I run a blog that truly makes me happy.
And the biggest reason for that happiness are my readers. You guys and gals are awesome. Whether it's sending me a link, e-mailing me your thoughts on the state of the Rangers or tweeting me about a spelling error (what is this the SATs?) you are always there for me and the blog.
The reason the blog is so successful is because of you. My blog posts aren't linked to on Yahoo! or other major sports media websites and I'm not backed by a main stream media outlet. So the only way word gets around about TheNYRBlog is from my readers. Re-tweets, Facebooking, e-mailing, dropping one of my links in a Rangers message board or just telling a friend, you guys have done it all to spread the word and for that I am ridiculously thankful.
While I'm not the biggest fan of the Brad Richards signing I feel the Rangers continue to move in the right direction and it's only a matter of time before I'm blogging about a Stanley Cup run.
Anyway, off to enjoy my birthday. I've set a couple stories to post later so it won't be totally dead around here today. I'll talk with you all later.
Quick while the birthday boy is off doing something he will regret let's rearrange his blog while he is gone
Happy Birthday dude, thanks for all the hard-work & making it easier to read up on Rangers news from the UK :)
happy birthday young man.
"I have an amazing family, a job I love and I run a blog that truly makes me happy."
how many people can say this? not many, my friend. enjoy the day and think thoughts of a 40goal 60 assist 39 year old richards skating around with his 2nd cup ring on his finger.
Actually the grammer police have been blissfully absent lately, at least from the blog.
It's a beautiful day for a birthday, enjoy. Happy Birthday.
@Lauren D. which ways norf?
@IcyCup , you beat me to it! I was going to say
"Happy Birthday, young man!"
@AnnoyingJoe , that's "grammar."
@AG_Blue I could say that I intentionally misspelled grammAr and that I was trying to flush out the grammAr police, but then I'd be lying. damn it.
@AnnoyingJoe , Haha! That's awesome! Actually, I wondered whether I was just falling into your trap. While I have been guilty, on occasion, of acting like the grammar police, I usually acknowledge this is not the place for it. All I can say is you guys are lucky my wife doesn't read this blog because, trust me, you'd all be getting the business. Btw, she's expecting a strong comeback from Del Zotto this year ; )
