Open Game Night Threads

Written by Kevin DeLury on .

Now that Bloguin has implemented the new commenting system, I thought I'd bring back the very unsuccessful "Open Game Night Thread" in my pre-game notes post starting tonight with the Rangers matchup against the Habs.

What the new system offers is real time commenting, so similar to IMing you won't need to refresh your browser to see new comments.

This should make things a lot easier and fun. Remember the main page will not show how many comments have been posted so you will have to click into the post to join the conversation.

I'm going to try and join in tonight but with two kids 7pm is a tough time for me to get on the computer. What I'm thinking about doing is finding a reader who could be my game night thread moderator to keep the conversation flowing. If anyone is interested, please e-mail me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

Hoping this can be a way to really keep our tight community even tighter.

@trueblue31 I don't think that Tort's is gonna cut this guy any slack. I don't know much of him but from all I read on other blogs this guy likes to coast. Tort's has spent a lot of time getting this team prepared and ready for the playoffs. This team is one that has chemistry, and has each other's back. Remember Tort's called Zherdev's laziness out. This is Tort's team and this guy Wolski will be in the Whale's mouth and not like Jonah if he bullshit's around with coasting and going through the motions. Let's not run this guy out give him a chance. Also there are not a lot of athletes in the NHL that have had the type of conditioning that Tort's has put our players through. So his conditioning may not be there and maybe a few games in Connecticut may well be the fit until he can get system and conditioning down. Coach Dave Tippett runs a Trap system so that's why his numbers are low this season, that systems stifles offense. It's just my take.

@KevinDeLury @trueblue31 Yeah "Run and Gun" that's a ticket on the Greyhound to the Whale. Is this guy for real? Is he that naive, misinformed, misled or just confused? WOW. I guess I take back all the shit I just said. Man he just clowned me. Maybe he got a text on his cell that displayed and error code: ID10T.

@STS2694 @trueblue31 Read that Torts was laughing at Wolski's comment that he was looking forward to coming to the Rangers b/c they play a run and gun offense. Not a good way to get on Torts' good side.

Got a question for everyone.... As much as I hope Wolski tears it up with us, does anyone think he is just another Zherdev/Frolov? I mean I really hope not but it seems that every player like him does not fit with Tort's style or Torts himself for that matter. Regardless, I still like the trade. We're most likely gonna need to add a solid defenseman for a postseason run though.

@trueblue31 Let's hope not. Either way like you said it eas a solid trade for the Rangers.
