Update, 1:08 p.m.:
Newbury will play over Weise tomorrow. Decision to send Weise back to Whale will be made after tomorrow's game.
Torts may use four forwards on the power play tomorrow against the Leafs.
Update, 12:45 p.m.:
Zipay reports that Dale Weise may be headed back to the CT Whale.
Update, 11:48 a.m.:
Andrew Gross says the other two defensive pairs are Staal-Girardi and Eminger-McDonagh.

Steve Zipay tweets some new lines at practice this morning...

...not sure what is up with Torts' utter refusal to put Gaborik with Avery. The only times Gaborik has looked good this season is with Avery on the other wing.
Zipay also reports that Matt Gilroy is skating on the left side of Michael Sauer.
Finally Zipay tells us that Marian Gaborik was out early this morning shooting on an empty net.
...this is the only way Marian can score these days.

Avery is a fourth liner. He has no business being on the top line. Gaborik needs to get himself started. What's all this baloney about someone else having to "jumpstart Gaborik." He had Christensen as his center last year and scored 42 goals. The problem is not who is on his line.
@alwaysright Totally disagree. Avery is one of the few guys who plays with HEART every game...also, he can be a pest and take the pressure off the guys defending Gaborik to give him some room to shoot. In addition, Avery is a great skater, handles the puck really well and should really be on the 1st line. Both he and Gaborik are better when they are together.
