Kings Inquire About Gaborik
Bruce Garrioch at the Ottawa Sun reports that Kings GM Dean Lombardi is desperately calling around the league looking for scoring even placing a call to Glen Sather about Marian Gaborik..."It’s doubtful New York — which is also fighting to stay in the playoff race — would deal one of its few offensive weapons unless Sather receives a tremendous offer from Lombardi."
...while Garrioch is just as bad as Eklund when comes to rumors this one doesn't seem that far fetched. The Kings looking for offense sees a struggling scorer in Gaborik and hopes that Sather has a quick trigger. Assuming Sather, who is a magician when it comes to trades, would be looking for at least D Jack Johnson, a top prospect and a pick in return. Which would pretty much end LA's interest.
...as far as Gaborik goes, I think putting him with Avery has been working. While he hasn't scored since his four-goal game, he is much more noticable on the ice and the line is generating a lot of scoring chances.
