Changes to Power Play

Matt Gilroy will take Stepan's spot on the point.
...the power play really has been awful this year. To me that starts and ends with Gaborik. Get him going and the power play looks a whole lot better.

we have no threat from the point - no powerful accurate shot from the blue line. when we make a trade we need to gain a strong d man that actually has a shot
PS- my "rant" is in response to reading brooks' article on gabby in todays post.

gabby has sucked since torts called him out in the press. plain and simple. you just cant do that with every player and im quite sure that gabby is not going to respond well to that EVER. it should have never been done, calling him out in the press. torts should have known better. managing personalities is part of his job, no? constant line juggling and a lack of a true feeding #1 center contributing to his problems? well, gabby had those issues last year and it sure as sh*t didnt hurt him or his numbers too much. is he playing injured and keeping it to himself? i dont think that covers his lack of enthusiasm or creativity. im sure it goes back to him being called out. not every personality is going to respond well to that.
what do you guys think? agree? disagree?
@IcyCup Gabby needs space to shoot from the hi slot or just below the hash marks. he needs a strong center that can move the puck to him while drawing attention- basically we need another Dubinski for him - hopefully Wolski can be that guy
@IcyCup I think Gabby needs to suck it up and start playing like the player the Rangers are paying him to be.
