Callahan Not Cleared to Hold Stick

Written by Kevin DeLury on .

callahanJesse Spector tweets that Ryan Callahan has not yet been cleared to hold a stick.

In other injury news, Eric Christensen is walking around without a knee brace (may have been off due to treatment) and Alex Frolov was at this morning's sparsely attended optional skate.

...see you in mid to late February Cally.

i'd rather have cally w/o a stick than most of our forwards.

@cb1 Yeah, I don't know about that. they've been playing well. Seems like any of our lines could be a threat on any given night. Even the current Avery/Drury/Weise hodgepodge kept the pressure on against MTL in the last game. Picture that line with Cally in place of Weise, though, and it just gets THAT much better. I think the team misses Cally because his play has a trickle-down effect. Cally being himself causes everyone else to step it up just a bit, which is the kind of edge that would have won it for us against MTL.

@cb1 I'd normally agree with you but Sather has gotten rid of so much dead weight there aren't that many players, if any, I don't like right now.

Despite playing well the Rangers still miss Cally's grit.
