Winter Classic Viewing Parties
Since the Rangers inexplicably aren't hosting a viewing party for the Winter Classic, I figured I'd post a few parties that readers have mentioned to me:
This first one will be hosted by reader Yuriy in Harrison, NY. Here are the details...
Off The Grid, 73 Crotona Avenue in Harrison, NY 10528. (914) 835-0827. Doors will open at 12:30PM.
They will have "Winter Classic" Specials for the day as well: 25 cent wings, 4 sliders for $5, $2 PBR Drafts and a lot more stuff. There is NO Door Charge!!!
...$2 PBR drafts?!?!?!?! I may have to make the drive up there.
And for those of you who want to experience the Winter Classic but weren't able to score tickets, McFadden's Bar in Citizens Bank Park will be hosting a viewing party as well.
Reader Dennis C., who says a bunch of TheNYRBlog readers are attending, explains that it's a $20 head charge to get in but that includes whatever food + drink specials. You will have to pay the $25 for parking at Citizens Bank Park. Plus they'll have contests, giveaways, and autograph signings.

From what I understand the autograph signings will be at one of the tents featured at the Spectator Plaza. No news as to who will be there though. Only one I saw that was confirmed was Dave Shultz, and that was for yesterday. Although the link to the actual event page did say there would be signings for all three days of the event.
@thenyrblog seriously, they should have put some huge screens in Bryant park and had an outdoor viewing party.
