"That's hockey. Some guy cross-checks you in the back and then follows through. He deserves a good smash in the face. He got what he deserved. Then guys who play five minutes a night, it's typical that they would go and try and grab our skill players. We'll see what the response is."

My message to the Rangers would be this: Downplay this event. Next week let the Panthers be the ones to act up and get something going in their own damn heads to knock themselves off their game. They are the team that's starting to struggle to stay relevant. Keep it that way. Under Torts I know they will stay disciplined. Rangers will come out and win again!
That said how cool would it be if Messier takes a pregame interview today and says 'we will win this afternoon'
Come to think of it this adds incentive to make Thursday my first trip to MSG this season...
@thenyrblog I don't care what Del Zotto did if anything. The only excuse for a cheap shot like that is if he took one at a teammate first.
