- Brian Elliot, who was signed by the Blues in the offseason to be their backup goaltender, leads the NHL with a 1.46 goals-against average, four shutouts and a .947 save percentage, compared to last year when he went 15-27-9 with a 3.34 GAA and three shutouts with Ottawa and Colorado. However, he is is 0-3-1 with a 3.00 lifetime GAA against the Rangers.

it is so frustrating watching gaborik pass up oppurtunities to shoot over and over again.. i think he has the quickest release in the entire nhl... but he hasnt been using it.... sure hes got 15 goals but if he shot 10 times a game like he should he would have 25
