The New York Rangers (22-8-4) defeated the New York Islanders (11-17-6) by the score of 3-0, tonight. For a boxscore and recap go to Yahoo! Sports.

...can you say first place in the Eastern Conference?

...never an easy task to play the day after Christmas so full marks to the Rangers for continuing winning streak against rivals.

...so this Hank guy is pretty good.

...everyday I'm Ha-ge-lin.

...i've been very critical of Boyle's play this season, but never again after what I saw at the end of the second period. Warrior.

...i know that +/- can be misconceiving, but a +25 for Del Zotto must mean he's doing something right.

...first time sitting in 100s tonight. If you can every scrounge up the cash, I highly recommend.

...Stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.

...there were so few Islanders fans at MSG tonight Rangers fans had to fight amongst themselves. Which was still very entertaining. Asshole! Asshole! Asshole!

...to be honest I was so drunk at the game I really don't remember anything else, so if I missed something leave it in the comments section.

...off tomorrow then in Washington Wednesday night.

Watching that game was like second Christmas. What a gift for fans to see them make it to first place in the conference after winning 4 in a row against major rivals. Daring to hope for a win in the Winter Classic... if there was ever a year for it to happen, this is it.

Nice move by Del Zotto on that goal. But I still feel that he needs to hit the net more with his shot and he still needs to move his legs with more confidence while controlling the puck, he still seems indecisive at times.

But his defensive game has come a long way. And I'm not a huge fan of the +/- stat but if you are a +25 you must be doing something right.

That Hagelin/Richards/Callahan line is awesome.

Bickel is a fighter. He throws punches with thunder. Reminds me of Beukaboom a little. And good heads up to switch sides so McDonagh can get off the ice for a change.

I just want to see Girardi pound someones face in. I know he's probably as strong as anyone in the league. Just once....

And he's getting better at passing. He made some very nice outlet passes last night. Tape to tape.

The Dubinsky/Boyle/Mitchell line looked good last night creating some offense while grinding the crap out of the Islanders.

The 4th line is terrible. I understand that Fedotenko is in there for the PK and so is Prust. But as a unit they look lost.

Rupp is useless. If he waits any longer to tee up a shot it'll be next week already!!

were you still drunk when you wrote that Ha-ge-lin line? sheesh.

You had him pegged for a long time, he's fun to watch.

dude, that move by Del Zotto...I totally did not expect this out of him. Considering the injuries, He's been a huge part of this teams success thus far.

And watching them beat the Isles never gets old.

I'm getting a lundqvist jersey. Can't decide on either the winter classic or the jersey that says new York across and has the 85th anniversary patch. Have they worn that one this year? I really like that jersey but I have to say the winter classic looks wicked but if they lose that game I'm gonna think of that everytime I wear it hahaha. With the way they are playing I think I might go with the winter classic.
