Hardest Staal Has Skated in a Long Time
Andrew Gross has this quote from Marc Staal after the defenseman skated this morning with a non-contact jersey..."Today is the hardest I've skated in a really long time."
Staal also says that the next step for him is to get his strength back in the weight room.
Still no time table on his return.
...Staal's recovery has really picked up some steam lately. Still very concerned after seeing what's gone on with Crosby. Although, everyone is different, so just because Crosby is having difficulties doesn't mean Staal will.

Gross adds that Mike Rupp believes he'll be back in the lineup either Saturday at Phoenix or Tuesday against the Devils.

I think he's closer than he or the team is hinting at. I don't expect a timetable to put placed on his return, but I think it's sooner than most think
So let's pretend for a moment that Rupp is coming back. Who is out? What about on a longer timeline? I mean, on D it's easy, but for forwards, asside from EC who do you toss out of the lineup? Mitchell?
if him and sauer ever make it back befor the playoffs, the rangers will have a very tough defense to get through
