Gaborik Ok After Slash

Written by Kevin DeLury on .

Pat Leonard at the Daily News reports that after the game John Tortorella said Marian Gaborik was fine after taking a slash to the shoulder on his goal last night.

...great news! Got to admit, I was real worried watching him wince in pain on the bench. The season actually flashed before my eyes.

Here's video of the play...

Belated Merry/Happy Kev, by the way, had to watch the NHL Network for this game and as usual they took the other team's feed from CSN...these idiots are biased too, well at least I didn't have to listen to Emrick screaming all night...The Philly TV crew, Keith Jones included, all 3 of these morons said zero about this slash and thought that both players lost their balance...I hope they choke on their next box of Tasty Cakes...

Aren't refs supposed to keep an eye on teams superstars? Crosby gets calls if guys just touch him. I'm not crying but that was a severe textbook slash!

@thenyrblog Me too - until I saw the replay. Can't do too much damage slashing a guy on the shoulder pads.
