"They might say, 'It's going good, take another week,' they might say, 'Go skate,'" Biron said.
...i'm hoping that Biron can get back soon. The playoffs are a long grind and we can't expect Hank to have his 'A' game every night so Biron could play a kep role at some point in the playoffs.
Didn't mean Biron getting a start, but there could be a game where Hank gives up two quick ones while looking off his game and you can be sure Torts will have no problem getting Biron in there. Listen I'm not hoping that happens, but if the Rangers make a nice run you can't expect vintage Hank every night.
its amazing to me how the folks from nhl Net and TSN have the capitals at an advantage with there goaltending situation. Saying that its good that they have three solid netminders and Neurvirth just had some good games inthe AHL! are they kidding. Then they turn around and question Lundqvist for playing too deep in his crease. The simple facts are Washington has a golatending controversy on their hands and I see us running one of their goalies out early like in '09
i agree. When you get to the playoffs your #1 guy gets every start. God forbid Hank is playing terrible and Torts wanted to play Biron, the series would be over by then. And if Hank was to get pulled in a game, I'm sure it would be well out of reach at that point.
I think when you look at teams who have had success changing goalies in the playoffs, it's because they entered them with not a lot of confidence in their netminder. That is not the case here in NY.
While I agree that having Biron back just in case would make me feel a lot better, the idea that Hank would allow someone else to play for him in the playoffs is kinda nuts.
