Rangers Will Not Put Kennedy on Re-Entry Waivers (Updated)
Update, 2:03 p.m.:
Andy Strickland now tweets "To say the Rangers have not told Tim Kennedy's he can seek a trade is inaccurate."
...not sure what to believe now.
Original Post:
If Kennedy was claimed the Rangers would be responsible for half his salary.
This report contradicts Andy Strickland's tweet stating the Rangers gave Kennedy permission to seek a trade.
...i'd have to think he would be claimed so Sather is smart not to put him on. Sort of sucks for Kennedy, but no need to pay the salary of a player not even on the team.

Sather:NYR have NOT told Tim Kennedy or agent they would put him on re-entry for trade. "Not a chance" GM tells Post.
